Treasure Galaxy by the Learning Company is an entertaining maths program that provides practice for basic maths skills for ages 5 to 9.

This is part of the 'Treasure Seekers' series and The Master of Mischief has struck again! This time in Crystal City.

He builds a silly disasteroid machine that makes the asteroids look grouchy, and he urges them to contribute to mischief in the Crystal City. The disasteroids crash around the city and scatter the queens crystals.

Queen Astral is relying on your mathematical help as a "Super Seeker" to gather her stolen crystals. Upon their return the disasteroids will turn back into asteroids.

In the Code Satellite activity, kids practice counting to 99, reinforce their skip counting skills and learn to decode secret codes. Shop at the Star Mart and learn about fractions. Visual manipulatives are provided for comparing halves, fourths and eights.

Correct answers are rewarded by cute characters performing acrobatics, Star Bucks, prizes in your prize room (toy boats, drums, etc.), points and rank advancement.

There is an instrument panel that helps kids track their Star Bucks, record their digits earned or purchased (digits are needed to move to the next orbit), codekeeper (helps you decode words), Zoom control to help you change speeds, a monitor to help you keep track of the orbit location, and also a help button.

Other areas reinforce important skills like: learning to measure objects and weigh them. Geometry is introduced when children try to fit shapes into a larger tangram puzzle. Calendaring skills are practiced. The levels automatically increase as your child's skills increase.
