Skills Learned in Toony The Loon’s Lagoon
- Imagination and Creativity
- Thinking Skills
- Visual and Auditory Memory
- Listening Skills
Two Modes of Learning
Sometimes children like to experiment freely, and sometimes they need to be prompted. Toony offers both modes of play to teach the way each child learns best.
Extended Play
Built-in "Grow Slides" automatically monitor progress, and offer higher levels of difficulty as your child succeeds.
Toony the Loon’s Lagoon features:
- Kids can play in Explore Mode, where they think and create. This is open-ended play at its best. In Question and Answer Mode children are prompted to choose or repeat something. Parents can use the grow slide to see what their children are learning and set the correct level. Activities increase in difficulty as children progress.
- Join Oranga Banga and listen to his rockin' rhythms on his funky drum set. Can you repeat what he plays? Even in the dark?
- At the Fripple Hut kids are challenged to find the right Fripple. They must observe, compare, contrast and recognize relationships to match Fripple guides to Jungle Adventurers. This is so much fun kids don't realise they are sharpening logic skills.
- The crazy bird machine makes birds with wild hats, shoes and patterns. Children are challenged to find the pattern and make the missing feathered friend with the correct attributes. This activity is very engaging. Kids play it over and over.
- Toony is in the Lagoon with his zany xylophone. This versatile instrument changes into glasses, logs and squawking chickens. Kids can create memorable music or follow Toony.
- Two more activities let kids create moving art and toss colourful spheres around different backgrounds. This is creative exploration where kids learn to plan and predict behaviour.
- Thinking skills are essential for success in all subject areas. These activities help children build logic and problem solving skills. Kids just know this CD is a blast!
